The WeatherFrame BASIC model can display any 8 bit or 24 bit JPEG
image posted on a public website with a resolution of 800x600 pixels. The live
URL where the image resides must be publicly accessible from a single link such
as: "http://www.mywebsite.com/pictures/forecast.jpg".
Images from live URLs are not resized upon loading, so MUST be
properly sized from the beginning. GIF, PNG, and other web image formats are not
supported in live web URL's, only JPEG.
In addition, static images such as informational pages, advertising and
photographs can also be loaded into WeatherFrame using the included CCS frame
management program. The CCS program will automatically resize images to 800x600
and will import a wide variety of image formats.
The WeatherFrame PRO model can display any 8 bit or 24 bit
JPEG, PNG, GIF, or BMP image file on a live web URL from 320x240 to 1280x1024
pixels, and will automatically scale the image to the preferred screen
resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Like the Basic model, it can also be loaded
with a wide variety of static image content, such as pictures or ads.
